Server full?
Jump the queue.

A priority pass puts your Steam account ahead of players without one in the login queue. That is all it does.

What priority does

Ahead in the queue

When the server is full, players on the priority list go ahead of players who are not on it.
Still needs a free slot

Priority shortens the wait. It does not add slots, and other pass holders queue with you.
Nothing else

No gear, no money, no in-game advantage. Once you are in, you play the same game as everyone else.
Tied to your Steam account

It goes on the server's list after your payment clears. It can take until the next server restart to apply.

One payment, fixed length, no subscription. Buying again adds the time after your current pass.
